Sr. PHP Developer

Verys, recognized as one of Orange County's fastest growing software development firms, is looking for a Sr. PHP Developer to join our team. You will work in collaborative teams focused on designing, building and supporting web applications.  This role will work with our internal development team from our new Santa Ana headquarters.

What you will be doing:

  • Develop websites, services, integrations, and system logic for powering web and mobile platforms 
  • Assist in creating deployment strategies for distributed cloud-based and multi-tiered applications in a high-scale environment
  • Develop unit test code and frameworks for client and server side testing
  • Multi-task and juggle multiple pressing projects simultaneously, meeting all deadlines
  • Mentoring other developers and presenting to technical staff
  • Work  in an Agile development environment, helping with code organization and continuous integration strategies
Desired Skills & Requirements
  • 7+ years of significant development experience using object oriented design and development techniques using standards-based frameworks and patterns (MVC, Entity Frameworks, Dependency Injection, etc.) 
  • 7+ years of significant development expertise utilizing PHP Frameworks (Laravel, Zend, Symfony etc.) 
  • Web development experience with HTML5 / JavaScript(JQuery) / CSS Web Frameworks (Backbone, Bootstrap, Underscore, etc.) 
  • Deep knowledge of source control, automated testing, and build automation tools
  • Strong experience with running applications on Amazon Web Services, Azure, or other cloud-based platforms
  • Experience with a variety of languages and technologies (Java, C#, XCode, Python, etc.) preferred
  • Expertise in database design and integration (MySQL / SQL Server) 
  • Able to work quickly in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
