Vice President of Sales

Remote, CA
Verys is seeking an experienced Vice President of Sales to drive business results within both existing accounts and new client acquisitions. The individual will create and develop business relationships by engaging prospects and clients.  The successful Vice President of Sales focuses on client needs and will be measured across revenue recognition, new client acquisitions and overall gross margin. Verys puts a premium on speed and sales excellence at all stages of the selling process. The individual must excel in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and be passionate and prideful about growing the Verys brand.
 
Responsibilities
  • #1 Criteria: 8+ years of technology consulting or software services sales experience
  • Build sales strategy for target accounts to support overall revenue and GPM goals
  • Target and establish new relationships within existing accounts
  • Drive sales activity in partnership with the sales and marketing executives
  • Work with new prospects to secure MSAs and build pipeline
  • Will be responsible for sales growth within existing accounts
  • Manage negotiations of the opportunities in the pipeline via CRM sales tools
  • Define “win” themes based on our client’s needs and the current competition
  • Partner with clients to understand their technology needs and recommend solutions that add value to their business
  • Primary liaison with some of our client’s most senior executives
 
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of prior experience in solution selling and account management
  • 8+ years of technology consulting experience
  • Proven track record opening new accounts and attaining revenue goals
  • Experienced in gaining access and building relationships with business executives and decision-makers
  • Ability to engage clients to understand their business and technology needs and recommend solutions that bring value to their business
  • Skilled at leading teams through lengthy, complex technology solution sales
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to write proposals and SOWs
  • Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills with a “likability” gene
  • Strong prioritization, organization and negotiation skills
  • Strong sales process orientation with an ability to work with virtual teams
